SparxWorks Taps Child Prodigy and Rock Star-Olympian for Advisory Board

SparxWorks, the leading AR platform for advertisers and content publishers, announced two additions to its Board of Advisors. Liz Ross first learned about the advertising business as a pre-teen, and has been laser-focused on it as a career ever since. She understands all aspects of it, from utilizing data to maximizing the value of an ad agency. Her life’s passion has recently led her to the newly appointed position as Chief Marketing Officer of the hot billion dollar unicorn start-up Bright Health. Previously she was CEO of an ad agency, Periscope, which, not coincidentally, she sold in 2019. Prior to that she was the CMO of IPG Mediabrands. She’s currently a member of the Forbes Agency Council and a past member of the American Advertising Federation. She eats, sleeps and breathes advertising.

When SparxWorks sought to fill its second slot on its Advisory Board, it didn’t hurt that Ralf Jacob had been an Olympic diver and once played bass with the Scorpions. Of course, those two accomplishments alone didn’t qualify Jacob as an Advisor. SparxWorks also saw in Jacob a different kind of rock star: an expert in media and marketing technology. He is a seasoned veteran of both a successful streaming start-up that Verizon acquired and for the last six years, been the President and Chief Revenue Officer of Verizon Digital Media.

In their new roles on the SparxWorks Advisory Board, Ross and Jacob’s wide-ranging marketing and tech knowledge will help the organization shape the future of how AR is used in marketing. “Liz and Ralphs understanding of the future of media and technology is unparalleled – we couldn’t be happier to have them as part of the team” said Paran Johar Chairman and co-founder of SparxWorks. “This is fantastic, Liz and Ralf brings to our team a blending and balancing of technology expertise and marketing vision” added Billy Newell CEO and co-founder of SparkWorks.
